Mobile Commerce is Increasing Immensely According to DIBS’ new Report

3bits is now partner with DIBS, a supplier for online payments. Their report, Nordic e-commerce 2013, shows that trends and behaviours that are reported from the US and other countries can also be applied in the Nordic countries.

The report is based on interviews with 4,000 consumers in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway about the commerce online and on mobiles.

A decisive factor for the customer is that e-commerce simplifies and the main thread is that the different parts of the buying process should be as easy as possible.

A part of this is to be able to store your card details. Several checkouts are interrupted, a part of this is most likely that the card reader from the bank is not available when you want to shop if the site requires 3D Secure.

An impressive 733 000 new mobile customers in Sweden in 2013, an increase with 61 %. In the Nordic countries, the increase was 1 713 000 new mobile customers. In other words, it is time to adapt your site to mobiles and tablets if that is not already done. But don’t forget to pay attention to your computer site, H&M for example has according to us a tablet site that is preferred to the regular site.

Over 50 % of the ones that shop from sites abroad states that price is the most important reason. It is easier to take the step when more sites offer reasonable shipping costs and fast deliveries, when it is just a click away. Amazon.co.uk for example delivers free to Sweden if you spend more than 25 £ and offers many products that are 50 % off the same item in a Nordic web shop.

It’s pleasant reading that online shopping is increasing in every age span, but every consumer is still shopping online less than 1.5 times every month, there is still enormous potential for the e-commerce to increase even more.
